On December 23, 2020, the IEEE 2418.2-2020 “IEEE Standard for Data Format for Blockchain Systems” (IEEE Standard for Data Format for Blockchain Systems) led by the China Electronics Standardization Institute was officially released and implemented. The follow-up release and promotion of the IEEE 2418.2-2020 standard are managed by the IEEE Computer Association Blockchain and Distributed Accounting Technical Committee.
The standard is based on the group standard of China Blockchain Technology and Industry Development Forum T/CESA 6002-2017 “Blockchain Data Format Specification”, which stipulates the data structure, data classification, and data related to blockchain and distributed ledger technology. Element attributes and data specifications. The standard aims to unify and standardize the data format of the blockchain system, guide the development and design of databases and systems related to blockchain technology, support the data exchange and sharing between the blockchain system and other related information systems, and improve the consistency of different platforms Integrity and interoperability provide a standardized basic information resource framework for building an overall blockchain ecology.
This standard fills the gap in the IEEE international standards in the blockchain field, marking my country’s major breakthroughs in the research of blockchain and distributed accounting technology and the formulation of international standards, and further enhancing my country’s international voice in the blockchain field And rule-making power.
IEEE and IEEE SA
IEEE is an international association of electronic technology and information science engineers, and is currently the world’s largest non-profit professional technical society. The IEEE SA Standards Association is the world’s leading standard-setting organization. Its standard-setting content covers multiple fields such as information technology, communications, power and energy.
IEEE C/BDL
The Blockchain and Distributed Accounting Committee (IEEE C/BDL) under the IEEE is led by experts from the China Electronics Standardization Institute. It is mainly responsible for guiding, managing and supervising the development of blockchain standards and industrial promotion. There are 17 standard working groups, covering basic, data, technology, applications, services, assets and other related fields related to blockchain.
China Electronics Standardization Institute
In the field of blockchain, China Electronics Standardization Institute, as the counterpart of ISOTC307 in China, the chairman unit of the Blockchain and Distributed Accounting Technology Committee of the IEEE Computer Association, and the national blockchain and distributed accounting The secretariat unit of the Accounting Technology Standardization Technical Committee actively promotes the high-quality development of the blockchain industry based on standardization.
In terms of international standardization, we promoted the establishment of 2 ISO international standards and 17 IEEE SA standards. In terms of domestic standardization, 3 national standards were promoted, 4 local standards and 16 group standards were released. In terms of industry promotion, it took the lead in the establishment of the China Blockchain Technology and Industry Development Forum, provided blockchain functions and performance evaluation services for more than 60 blockchain systems according to standards, and carried out 4 blockchain development competitions and 5 districts The Blockchain Development Conference also provides standardized services such as planning, evaluation and consulting for multiple local governments and large enterprises.
