
[Blockchain Today Reporter Jieun Lee] Canadian investment company Ninepoint Partners has completed an IPO of a cryptocurrency fund of C$230 million ($180 million).
Nine Point Partners Bitcoin Fund, which started on the 27th of last month (local time), has secured over 99% investment on the first day of the transaction.
Bitcoin funds are available in US dollars and Canadian dollars, and are registered on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the names’BITC.U’ and’BITC.UN’.
According to Nine Points, the fund’s management fee is known to be the lowest among Canadian Bitcoin funds.
The bitcoins held by the fund are valued based on the “MVIS Crypto-Compare Institutional Bitcoin Index”. The index is managed by MV Index Solutions GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Van Eck.
