Mexico Billionaire taking the lead and pushing for crypto: Ricardo Benjamín Salinas Pliego added Bitcoin symobol on his bio (www.blockcast.cc)

Elon Musk and Telsa announced yesterday that they have purchased $1.5b in Bitcoin. Ricardo Benjamín Salinas Pliego, Mexico’s third wealthiest man showed his support for the coin by adding “Bitcoin” to his Twitter profile.

Ricardo Benjamín Salinas Pliego is a Mexican businessman, founder and chairman of Grupo Salinas, a group of companies with interests in telecommunications, media, financial services, and retail stores.

In November 2020, Ricardo has told Bloomberg Wealth in an interview that he has 10% of his liquid portfolio in Bitcoin and have started investing into Bitcoin since 2016.

Ricardo Benjamín Salinas Pliego is worth an estimate of $13.3b according to Wikipedia and listed #106 on Forbes List in 2020. He has more than 800,000 followers on Twitter and is still growing. His support in Bitcoin is a big push toward for the crypto community.
